Last Quarter Moon in Cancer: Depths

On Monday, we enter the Last Quarter phase.

The Grand Trine in Air is still present as the Sun–Mars trine is exact. Venus continues to move toward the Sun, as all three separate from Saturn.

A new pattern has emerged: The Last Quarter square between the Sun and the Moon is a T-square with Pluto, who opposes the Moon and squares the Sun.

We’re drawn into the depths.

The Moon in Cancer is exquisitely attuned to emotions. What are we feeling after days of bright, heady, creative exploring? Which new ideas resonate? Which feel good?

The Sun and Venus continue to shine brightly in the upper air, offering thoughts, solutions, ideas, talk. Ways to solve problems creatively. The Moon needs reassurance that the solutions are helpful, not harmful, that they are safe for us and those we care about.

Pluto, as always, takes things deeper. Psychologically. Mythically. And in world affairs. Pluto brings our attention to foundations. Are they solid? Are they true? Will they last?

This also tests the ideas we’ve been spinning. Which ideas have legs? Which creative projects have depth, substance, and the bone-deep truth Pluto values?

After these days floating in Air, this Cancerian Moon–Plutonian presence will feel heavy.

We may feel anxious, possibly afraid. Pluto can be disturbing.

Remember that too much Air invites into our heads and ignores the body. That’s not balanced. It’s time to come back into the body, which the Moon in Cancer is more than ready to facilitate.

Breathe into any uncomfortable feelings. Allow time for them to unwind, to settle enough to let us hear the messages.

The Last Quarter is a time for movement and action, making good on the preparation we did during the waxing cycle and the messages received at the Full Moon.

To act in the world, we need mind and body to be aligned and mutually supportive. We need solid foundations. This is what we have with this T-square. Challenges aspects make things happen.
