Disseminating Moon in Capricorn: Brass Tacks

We’re in post-eclipse chaos with Mercury retrograde, Mars conjunct Neptune, and Sun trine Pluto.

We don’t know what’s going on, but there’s still pressure to engage with it all–to notice, take it all in, and try to understand.

We entered the Disseminating phase under a Capricorn Moon Attention shifts to action plans, task lists, and progress. Capricorn wants to get down to brass tasks.

But is this a time for action? Let’s see where we are.

In the predawn hours of Wednesday, Mars reached exact conjunction with Neptune, an influence very much in force for days to come.

Mars and Neptune are not natural allies. Mars wants clarity. He brings energy and focus. Neptune is misty, mystical, and vague.

Mars can use Neptune as a smokescreen for hidden activity. Think of disinformation campaigns. Neptune can frustrate Mars by creating so much confusion, goals remain unclear. This is obscured information or variables we don’t know about.

The best of Mars and Neptune shows up as inspired creativity or actions grounded in spirituality.

On May 20, the Sun enters Gemini and Mercury reaches cazimi.

The Sun leaves comfort-seeking, stable, quiet Taurus for scintillating, curious, talkative Gemini.

Ordinarily, this would create a surge of energy for thought and communication. But Mercury, ruler of Gemini, is retrograde and under the beams of the Sun. Our minds focus inward. We struggle to articulate new ideas just emerging.

The cazimi happens at 0 Gemini. Then Mercury retrogrades back into slow Taurus. We won’t feel full-on Gemini until June 13 when Mercury reenters Gemini.

Sun trine Pluto brings gravitas. Doors open to healing and transformation. Pluto takes us deeper than Gemini, deeper even than Neptune, into the past patterns.

It’s not about sharing with the world. Not yet. It’s a time to open doors within the psyche. Let new ideas percolate and cross fertilize. Look for healing.

If the Capricorn Moon pushes you to be outwardly productive, wait. The Moon will conjunct Pluto herself soon.
