Tomorrow morning (EDT) we enter the Crescent Moon phase with a Moon in late Scorpio.
Now the Moon gains more light. We get clarity on our goals. We figure out how to move into the future with the New Moon’s gifts.
We find the Moon in tricky territory. Conjunct the South Node. Opposite the North Node and Uranus. Squaring Saturn.
We’re front and center with the Saturn–Uranus square, inching closer to its tightest square this year.
The Moon sits with the South Node. What shadows of the past are haunting us? What achievements from the past support us?
A Scorpio Moon is wary. Scorpio strengths include an acute awareness of power dynamics, an ability to play the game, and the capacity to wait for the right moment. Scorpio challenges include being too suspicious to act, leaning into ‘ends justify the means’ thinking, and looking for revenge.
It’s time to check ourselves. How can we work with the opportunities of these times? How can we avoid the pitfalls?
The New Moon calls for balance.
Before dawn, Venus enters Libra. Now Venus has much more capacity to help us.
Around the same time, the asteroid Ceres enters Virgo. The goddess of spring enters the sign of harvest.
What have we sown this year? What will our harvest be? Note that the royal star Regulus is located at the beginning of Virgo. The goddess is crowned.
The past holds many riches. Memories. Ancestors. Deep legacies. Yet this chart points us toward the future.
The Moon sextiles Mercury, also stronger since reentering Virgo. Both Moon and Mercury quincunx the asteroid Eris, forming a yod with Eris at the top.
Eris is a chaos goddess whose message focuses on the urgent need to address worldwide challenges. The Moon’s canny insights in Scorpio and Mercury’s careful checking and rechecking of details are not enough.
For that, as in any yod, we look to what is opposite the apex. There we find the star Spica, one of the most fortunate stars in the sky, the star of the Earth Goddess.
Find balance. Look for hope. Avoid danger. Check yourself.
