We’re now in the Balsamic phase, the one for letting go, clearing the decks, taking care of the to-do lists, to prepare for the New Moon.

This time, we have a Moon in early Capricorn. It’s not a strong place for the Moon, yet it’s a strong signature for this phase, before this upcoming New Moon.
In early Capricorn, we get grounded. After the peripatetic journeys of Sagittarius, we’re ready for solid ground.
For the emotional, Moon, though, this feels like instinct. We’re connecting with what the body says about being embodied, being in a place, at this time.
What we’re letting go of is anything not aligned with that instinctive bond to the ground we stand on.
The Full Moon in Leo connected us to our personal power. The Disseminating Moon in Libra called us to listen to the voices of others. The Last Quarter Moon in Scorpio drove us to look below the surface and ask incisive questions.
This Capricorn Balsamic Moon says, it’s time to clean house.
It’s especially important because the soon-to-arrive New Moon is an eclipse, as is the Full Moon following it. Yep, this is the Spring eclipse season, a time of deep change.
In the grounded space of this Capricorn Moon, we ask, what do we really need? And, if we don’t really need it, why are we carrying it around?
This Moon trines the South Node in Virgo and sextiles the North Node in Pisces. She is already aligned with eclipse energy.
This Moon separated from a sextile with Venus in Pisces and moves into a sextile with Mercury in Pisces. From a very grounded place, we’re exploring the world of dreams, visions, creative possibilities––and also delusions.
This is a great time to pay attention to nighttime dreams, and also to check in: Are our core beliefs founded on solid ground?
When we find stuff that is no longer right for us, no longer aligned with our purpose, leftover ideas we no longer believe? Let it go.
