Waxing Trine Moon in Cancer: Mad as a March Hare

We open the month of March with a flowing trine between the Moon at 11º10’ Cancer and the Sun at 11º10’ Pisces. This is a magical, intuitive, creative connection.

Have you been struggling to focus on details today? This Water trine is already active, giving a dreamlike quality to the day that carries on through the evening.

Why March Madness, then? Well, things are about to get wild.

We’re entering one of the most intense and dynamic periods of 2023. Big changes are coming. We’re about to get a preview.

March 2 brings three notable events.

First, overnight, Venus and Jupiter reach their exact conjunction at 12º08’ Aries. Since this occurs just after midnight EST, it will happen late on March 1 in more westerly time zones.

Both benefics come together in fiery, passionate Aries. Things Venusian and Jupiterian will be energized. Expansive pleasure. Spiritual creativity. Artistic breakthroughs.

This conjunction is already forming, very close. We’re feeling this along with the Sun–Moon trine.

But wait! In the morning, Mercury and Saturn reach their exact conjunction in the final degree of Aquarius. Our minds are focused on philosophical structures, on the great needs of both present and future. This is high logic and clarity of thought.

Naturally, the Mercury–Saturn conjunction is also forming and quite close. This focus on disciplined thought is not really anything like what the Sun and Moon, and Venus and Jupiter are bringing. We’re pulled in different directions.

Then, Wednesday evening, Mercury enters Pisces. Our minds expand. The hard Aquarian edges of thought soften, grow more creative, and let go.

That’s just March 2. Imagine what the rest of this month will bring!
