First Quarter Moon in Gemini: Dreams & Data

posted in: First Quarter Moon, Gemini | 2

Before dawn tomorrow, we’ll reach the First Quarter Moon, which is a square between the Sun and Moon at 08º27’ Pisces and Gemini.

In this phase, we figure out what we need to learn and do, in order to reach our goals. With the Sun and Moon in two mutable signs with very different world views. we’ll want to pay attention to where we’re comfortable and where we are not.

In Pisces, the Sun often struggles to shine clearly. There’s a sense of being submerged, floating in a magical ocean with glints of light here and there. Yet this Sun is bolstered by Venus. These two are still in mutual reception via exaltation.

This is considered a minor form of dignity, but it’s enough to help the Sun access bright Venusian energy in Aries, and likewise helps Venus find creative outlets for the Aries fire.

In Gemini, the Moon processes feelings through words. Lots of words. This Moon brings an upbeat curiosity to the world at large, wanting to see everything, touch everything, explore everything. Here, two, Venus is influential through a very close sextile to the Moon.

The Pisces Sun is ruled by Jupiter, who is near Venus in Aries. The Gemini Moon is ruled by Mercury, closing in on a conjunction with Saturn.

What do we need to pay attention to? Here are some questions:

Are you naturally aligned with bright, clever, curious Gemini, where the Moon is? How do you relate to the mystical, sometimes foggy, deeply intuitive Pisces, where the Sun is?

If you lean more easily into one side of this square, this First Quarter might be calling on you to develop your skills in other ways of knowing and self expression.

Is Mercury in Aquarius, close to Saturn, pulling you into a somber frame of mind? Can you be productive in this space? Or would some Gemini word play, or Piscean dreaminess offer relief?

Venus connects in different ways with the Sun and the Moon. How do Gemini and Pisces affect how you relate to other people? How your creativity flows?

At this First Quarter, we’re looking at how we think and how we feel. What is working well for you? Where could you try new approaches to reach your goals?

I love that you present a lot of questions for reflection. Questions always open up possibilities!
