Waxing Trine in Pisces: Practical Magic

This morning, the Moon in Pisces forms a flowing trine to the Scorpio Sun. In this moment of ease, the Moon invites us into a larger focus.

If we see how wonderfully vast and complex the cosmos is, if we feel the flow of possibility, intention, and action, perhaps the shadow becomes less threatening. Perhaps it almost feels inviting.

What we first see in this morning’s chart is the intensity of the oppositions that frame the Full Moon eclipse arriving November 8.

Mercury, the Sun, the South Node, and Venus all together in intense and focused Scorpio. Our connection with the past is palpable. The ghosts in our closets feel real and close. There’s power here.

Uranus the revolutionary sits with the North Node in Taurus. This is enough to create a balanced tension. Uranus is relentless in asking for authenticity. Chaos is fine if it leads into a deeper truth.

Notice the Moon’s opposition to Ceres in Virgo. These mutable signs create a more flexible balance between the outermost reaches of the universe and our daily needs for bread, rest, work, and play.

Moon and Ceres weave the intense oppositions around the Nodes into a pattern called the mystic rectangle.

This pattern offers the support of trines and sextiles to soften the core oppositions.

The Moon says, you are a child of the universe. Nothing has to be solved today, this week, this month, even this year. Don’t take yourself so seriously. We’re all unfolding mysteries.

Ceres says, hey, drink some water. I think you’re not hydrated. Also protein. You need it. Listen, sit down, I’ll make some lunch. Then you can take a nap. It’ll be ok.

Sometimes the most practical things are also the most magical.
