Last Quarter Moon in Leo: Voice

The mood shifts. The Last Quarter arrives with the Moon already in late Leo. Overnight, Venus left the depths of Scorpio behind to enter the fresh Fire of Sagittarius.

We breathe deeply. We look to a distant horizon. What can we see? What can we imagine?

The Leo Moon squares the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, a challenge of fixed signs. The Moon in Leo wants to speak, sing out, share what we know, what we’ve learned, who we are.

Sun and Mercury ask, check how you’re bringing your voice forward. How do we embody the depth and range we’ve gained in this year’s eclipses? How do we show our power effectively and with minimal risk?

The Moon separates from an opposition to Saturn. Old structures remain strong, seeking to confine and control us. We’re breaking free and for that we need courage. We stand strong in what we know and who we are.

Yet the Moon is also at the apex of a yod, an awkward aspect pattern. This yod has Pluto and Neptune at its base.

The Leo Moon is called beyond personal stories and goals. We’re in a transformational time whose influences extend from the depths of our psyches to the outer reaches of the cosmos.

We’re strong, but this is a lot. How can we encompass so much?

The answer to a yod lies opposite the apex. Here we find–whoops–Saturn. OK, yes, we do need to break free from old, confining structures. But we still need structure. We need support, stability, and the scaffolding to carry our creations.

The world needs our stories, our testimony, our experience. We have depth and range and creative fire. We’re moving away from old limits. We’re finding new ways to create community, strength, and liberation.

We’re finding our voice.
