Crescent Moon in Virgo: Coming to Light

The Crescent Moon arrives in a bit more than 12 hours (4 am EDT). The visible Moon returns: only a slim curve in the sky, but we can see her. This 45 degree aspect between Sun and Moon is pushy: It’s time to answer the call and get moving. What are your goals?

This Moon waits patiently for Mercury to share important messages. With Mercury in Cancer sextile the Moon in Virgo, these two are in mutual reception, hanging out in each other’s houses. Communication is easy. There is something to learn here.

Pluto, trine the Crescent Moon, sends a thumping drumbeat from the shadowlands. No adventure is complete without challenge and our greatest challenges are often the inner ones.

Is there unfinished business? If so, Pluto will let us know. At 26 Virgo, the Moon has almost left her opposition with Neptune behind. The fog is clearly and forward movement is possible.

This is a strong place for a Moon in Earth. Can you see the glow filling out the shape of the Moon beyond the crescent? This is earthshine!

We see a tiny sliver of the Moon, and the Moon sees a full, shining Earth … whose glow reflects back to us as earthshine.

In this last decan of Virgo, we are keenly aware that nothing lasts forever. Time to dive into the adventure before us, on the way to our New Moon goals.
