Overnight, we enter the Crescent Moon. We start to make sense of the New Moon, or at least, we hope to.
Remember a New Moon is dark, a seed underground. We feel change coming but can’t see what it is yet.
The Crescent Moon brings light. We can see her in the sky. We start to get a glimmer of what’s happened and how we want to respond.
This Crescent Moon at 08º 23’ Libra is conjunct Venus at 09º 15.’ This is a close, “partile” conjunction, less than a degree apart.
This is a fortunate Moon.
The tarot card associated with the first decan of Libra is the Two of Swords. The card in the Rider Waite Smith deck shows a seated woman holding two swords under a Crescent Moon. It seems we’re in the right place.
These two are strong together. This first decan of Libra is a place for justice, not as retribution, but as a capacity and desire to find a clear, balanced solutions.
The Moon rules this face of Libra, and Venus rules the sign overall. They work together easily to see where peace and harmony are needed.
The intense New Moon Eclipse in Leo is still reverberating. The supportive power of the Venus–Moon conjunction serves as an anchor. Here is a safe place, at least for now.
Mercury and Jupiter have tightened their conjunction in the second decan of Leo. The Sun is close to the South Node, creating a bond there. Mars and Ceres remain conjunct. It seems paired planets and points are important at this Crescent Moon.
The aspects in the chart show us ongoing challenges presented by the outer planets, with inner planets serving as interpreters.
The Moon and Venus are at the base of the Kite pattern we saw before, with a shift. Moon–Venus remain in a Grand Trine in Air with Uranus and Pluto. Their advance to 08º and 09º Libra, though, place them between Neptune and Saturn, with a waning opposition to Neptune and an applying opposition to Saturn.
The Kite is more complicated now. The judicious insights and mediating skills of Moon–Venus help us sort things out.
