Crescent Moon in Aries: Allies

posted in: Aries, Crescent Moon | 0

Tonight we enter the Crescent phase after an intense New Moon eclipse.

The Moon has light in the sky again. We’re thinking about goals and plans for this lunar cycle.

NB: we are still in an eclipse field and will be for weeks. Think of a huge brass bell when someone rings it–the sound reverberates, echoing, lingering in the air. That’s where we are. On March 3, the upcoming Full Moon, another bell will ring.

Yet we’re not meant to sit still doing nothing. We’re alert, awake. We’re looking for clues. Watching what’s being said and done.

With this Aries Moon, we’re looking for allies.

This Moon in the middle of Aries wants to know who’s leading. What are their beliefs? What have they committed to? Can I align with that? We’re not looking for control. We need to be inspired.

The Sun has entered Pisces, which is confusing. We feel lost as reality starts to blur around us. We’re somewhere new but can’t see it yet. This is enhanced by the eclipse field.

The aspect of the Crescent Moon is a half-square, 45º, which is not comfortable.

The Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0º Aries is happening now. An initiation into a new cycle, brought to you by two planets who struggle to understand each other.

So the world is legit confusing. Yet, we want to move.

The Moon squares Jupiter exalted in her own sign of Cancer. We care and we want to act on that caring.

The Moon sextiles Mars in Aquarius, ruling this Moon in Aries. We are principled. Committed to our values. We want to act, yes, but action aligned with principle.

Between eclipses, we can think of this call for alliance in two ways:

We choose powerful others whose values and actions we endorse. We ally with them to help bring that agenda forward and for strength in numbers.

And we practice allyship. We look at the privileges we have, and ally with those we can support and shield.

We look for actions that reflect who we are, what we value, and where we can be effective.
