Balsamic Moon in Pisces: Slow Time

posted in: Balsamic Moon | 0

Tonight we reach the Balsamic phase with the Moon in early Pisces conjunct the North Node. This is the last phase before the New Moon in Aries. The Pisces Moon acts as our guide to letting go.

Mars has reached his exact conjunction with Neptune in early Aries. By the time of tonight’s Balsamic Moon, Mars will just be edging past Neptune, his fiery chariot pulling away from Neptune’s watery fogs.

As Mars separates from Neptune, clarity might improve, yet Neptune will remain in Aries. Mars now moves to conjunct Saturn, a very challenging meeting.

We might be tempted to act, since we can see more clearly, yet caution is still advised. Caught between Neptune and Saturn, Mars’ actions might be too much, too soon. We could accelerate only to hit a wall.

Tonight, though, we enter the Pisces Balsamic Moon.

This Moon can bring strong dreams, so, have a notepad handy. Conjunct the North Node, Pisces Moon dreams may preview how various futures might unfold.

This first decan of Pisces is an intriguing place. We enter a labyrinth unsure of what we might find. We are at the threshold of other worlds, sometimes our own unconscious and sometimes mystical places.

Austin Coppock says the first decan of Pisces “is a place where much will be left behind.” This sounds more South Node, than North, yet here we are. It seems we’re moving toward (a North Node action) a release point, which a Balsamic Moon is all about.

Remember the yod in the Last Quarter chart? A revised version is here in with Balsamic. The North Node in Virgo sits at the apex, with Pluto at one corner of the base, and Mars and Saturn at the other.

As yods will, this presents a challenge.

Pluto sextiles Mars and Saturn. What can that mean? Either Mars and Saturn collude to push through Pluto (not likely to succeed), or Pluto holds space for whatever changes the Mars–Saturn meeting will ignite (more probable).

The Virgo South Node at the apex may feel outgunned by all that power across the base. This is a careful, detail-oriented South Node waiting for orders, or at least, a task list.

The solution to a yod is said to lie opposite the apex. Here we find the North Node and the Moon in early Pisces. We are exactly where we need to be.

The upcoming New Moon in Aries will be initiatory. We want to be prepared. At this Balsamic Moon, we can follow the path laid out in Coppock’s 36 Faces for this decan:

We partner with the Moon and North Node to let go of outmoded worldviews. This release can liberate whatever energy we’ve tied up in old perceptions. We’ll have that energy available for whatever the Aries New Moon will bring.
