An Electional Chart for the New Moon in Virgo

posted in: Celestial Event | 0

We’re in a fortunate time for electional charts right now, with Venus in Libra accompanied by Mercury. In the days following the New Moon, the Moon moves into Libra to join them.

I found two charts this month I’ll share, and also direct you to the Astrology Podcast episode for the month of September, in which Chris Brennan shares an excellent chart.

Here’s the first of the two charts. The theme for this electional chart is “Healing” which reflects the kind of wishes and intentions fit best for this time.

In my East Coast time zone, the chart is set for Wednesday, September 8 at 8:47 pm. I checked charts for the West Coast and Europe and times around 8:45 pm in each time worked fine.

The chart has 11° Aries rising which places Chiron right on the Ascendant. Mars, who rules Aries, is in Virgo in the Sixth House.

With Mars, one of the malefics, ruling the Ascendant, this chart would be considered problematic for actions in ordinary life.

I offer this chart as an opportune moment for healing intentions and wishes. Chiron on the Ascendant has the power to bring our most urgent healing issues forward.

With a Moon–Mercury conjunction opposing Chiron, we can perceive (Mercury) and feel (the Moon) what those needs are. Then we can translate those feelings into the language of wishes and intentions.

Wishes and intentions related to healing old patterns will fit the timing of this chart.

NOTE: I’ll be sharing electional charts for New Moon as part of my new newsletter. If you’re interested in seeing more of these, please sign up on the Home page.
