Waxing Trine Moon in Capricorn: Dig

posted in: Capricorn, Waxing Trine | 0

As we step into Thursday, we reach the waxing trine between Sun and Moon within the First Quarter phase. Trines are easy flows of connection that we can miss. As I’ve said before in recent lunar cycles, we won’t miss this one.

The no-nonsense Capricorn Moon is conjunct Pluto, who arranges our deepest transformations. This means, of course, Pluto trines the Sun along with the Moon.

We’re in Earth signs here. Pluto takes us deep in earthen ways: underground caverns, deep fissures, mining for gold. We may find ourselves getting right down to bedrock.

The thing is, with a trine, it might feel ok. Or at least like the right thing to do.

Mars shifted into Libra on the 14th, which creates more of a focus on others than Mars prefers. Since Mars is also combust, as his conjunction with the Sun approaches, his powers are muted.

The luminaries light the ways into the caverns Pluto wants us to explore. This makes the journey personal. We are excavating and exploring internal spaces.

Yet we can’t escape the world, not these days. Other planets are involved in addition to Pluto.

Neptune the visionary dreamer opposes the Sun and sextiles Pluto and the Moon. We are drawn into misty and mystical spaces on our journey.

Mercury at 20 Libra squares Pluto and the Moon and is opposite the asteroid Eris, the chaos goddess. This creates a T-square in the cardinal signs. The Moon and Mercury are engaged with current needs in the world, as well as the psyche.

Taken all together, this might feel like a glimmer of light in a dark time. If you’ve been struggling personally, something might come untangled. If you are focused more on what’s happening in the world, likewise, a way forward might come clear.

Not, in either case, a complete solution. But an understanding. Insight. A quiet moment of resolution.
