Venus Enters Pisces: Ahhhhhhhh

Soon, Venus leaves the cerebral fixity of Aquarius for the misty openness of Pisces. This is a marvelous shift for her and marks the end of her long, difficult journeys through Capricorn and Aquarius.

It’s been valuable. No doubt about it. We’ve had the chance to see, sometimes in excruciating detail, what is not working in our relationships to people, to valuables, to values, and to our creative process.

Image Venus emerging from a stark landscape of stone and wind. She sees before her a vast body of water. An immense lake? The ocean? She’s not sure. The waters are calm, lapping softly against a pebbled shore.

She walks to the water, planning to bathe her tired feet. As her toes touch the cooling liquid, a soft rain falls. She lifts her arms, turns her face to the skies.

The landscape behind her softens, then disappears in a mist. She wades into the water, sluicing dust from her parched skin.

She submerges herself.

Welcome to Venus in Pisces. This is a powerful time that won’t last long. Venus enters Aries on May 2.

It’s time to be lavish with love and magic and wonder. It’s also a time to be careful with boundaries.

One thing we learned during these long months of Venus under Saturn’s influence is how important boundaries are, whether they’re ours or other peoples’ or just reality as it is.

Venus in Pisces might invite us to forget all that.

Do not forget the lessons. That’s not the goal. Instead, let in healing. Let in peace. Let in love. Let all that in, strong in the knowledge of who you are and what you’ve learned.

We’re invited to feel how valuable boundaries are even when things feel good. To integrate self care, self protection, into an open heart.

Take in a slow, deep breath. Exhale. Ahhhhhhhhh.
