In the predawn hours of this morning, Venus reached her conjunction with the Sun, her cazimi, the moment of insight, illumination, and power within her perilous journey so close to our star.

This morning, we might have remembered dreams, or felt a shift, or reveled in the glow of love and well being.

This Venus Cazimi was flanked by Mars and Mercury, both in Leo with Mars widely conjunct, still under the beams of his own Sun journey. Our thoughts, communications, and actions are aligned with what we feel in our hearts.

Venus with the Sun heightens love and desire which extends beyond the personal. She is a warrior for justice as well. The Sun and Venus trine a retrograde Eris in Aries, a goddess deeply disturbed by the rampant injustices threatening life on our planet.

Mercury moves to conjunct retrograde Chiron, reaching out for direction on healing words, messages we can carry out into the world on wings of fire. Mercury will soon square Uranus as well: Change is coming. We will want to make space for it.

All of this is present today as we feel the quickening of Venus’ own changes in the heart of the Sun.
