Gibbous Moon in Virgo: Check Again

posted in: Gibbous Moon, Virgo | 0

In an hour, we’ll enter the Gibbous Moon phase. Here, we are so close to the Full Moon, we can almost taste it: The culmination, revelation, illumination is almost here.

In the hero cycle, this is exactly where mistakes are made. We’ve already faced monsters, we can see the castle, what else could happen?

Ah, but this is a careful Moon, sitting in the final, intense degree of Virgo. This Moon, sesquiquadrate the Sun and Mercury, knows it’s essential to test every knot, check every buckle, make sure everything is set and ready.

The Venus–Neptune square adds some mist and mystery to the landscape. Yes, the Moon is separating from both, but there is still fog about. It’s dark.

This Moon is squaring the Nodes of the Moon, too. It’s an out of sign square, but an odd one because on May 5, the Nodes will shift into Gemini and Sagittarius.

No need to rush into May 5, though. Today will be event-filled enough. Mercury will conjunct the Sun, moving from obscurity into illumination. Then, a few hours later, we reach astrological Beltaine, as the Sun reaches 15 Taurus.

But we’ll save those for a later post. Right now, we need to be sure all is ready. With so much magic in the air, we can’t afford to drift off course.
