Celebrating Earth!

I am loving today’s cosmos as we welcome the illumination of a Mercury cazimi along with astrological Beltaine ❤ ♉ ❤

Mercury and Venus, the planets between Earth and the Sun, create special patterns in our sky. They each appear to loop back and forth, meeting the Sun in both forward and retrograde motion.

This is why Mercury and Venus appear sometimes in the morning sky and sometimes at evening, shifting how they express their energies in different phases of their journey.

Cazimi means “in the heart.” Any planet about to reach the Sun must first disappear under its powerful beams. The power of the planet is eclipsed, invisible, not accessible to us.

Then the Sun is reached. This is the inner sanctum, the private audience with the king or queen, the moment when secrets are revealed. Today Mercury receives the Sun’s boon and we all benefit.

Mercury is between the Earth and the Sun and moving at maximum speed. This is our “Full Mercury” in which the trickster shifts from morning to evening.

In Taurus, this illumination relates to Nature, our ground of being, how we live in our bodies, how we connect with the earth under our feet.

What illumination could be more meaningful now than to know, to feel in every cell, how supported we are by the complex matrix of the natural world?

Even when parts of that world seem to be attacking, still, we are held. We are part of a much, much larger whole.

This cazimi deepens our experience of Beltaine, one of the great hinges of the Celtic year. Now we enter the light half of the light half of the year, the bright time. We are ushered in by powerful magics. Spirits of earth come forth and make themselves known.

Today’s cazimi in Taurus may come through sensation more than words. Know that even if the world of nature is not accessible to you right now, it is all around you. Feel the magic that reaches everywhere, even into the most difficult places.

Today we feel the vibrant life of the Earth.
