Gibbous Moon in Cancer: Submerged

posted in: Cancer, Gibbous Moon | 0

At the Gibbous Moon, we meet an unexpected challenge. Having come through the First Quarter square and gained the insight of the Waxing Trine, we think we’ve got it. The Full Moon is ahead and we’re ready.

Then the Moon forms a sesquiquadrate, a square and a half, to the Sun.

Something happens. A bend in the road conceals a yawning canyon. The brook on the map turns out to be a river in flood. The bridge has a troll.

Today’s challenge will likely feel like mist, swamps, or falling into deep water.

The Sun in Pisces closes in on a sextile with Uranus. The cosmos embraces change, knowing it is inevitable and renewing.

The Moon in late Cancer prefers what she already knows, thank you very much, but a trine with Neptune in Pisces makes the familiar look strange. We thought we were almost home. Where did this fog come from?

Mercury, still barely moving, is caught between Saturn and Jupiter. Do we stay put or move quickly?

Mars trines Pluto, while the separating square from Venus is still in play. Relationships, including ours to our own psyche, transform from beneath.

The key element is Water, which means we feel deeply. Emotions feel tender. We might feel vulnerable and uncertain.

The path is always through. No point trying to go around. Stay with whatever comes up today and in the days ahead. Emotions need to be experienced and honored so they too can transform.

Later today, the Moon shifts into passionate and creative Leo. Dramatic emotional outbursts are possible. Expressing feelings in creative form will likely be less damaging and more insightful.
