First Quarter Moon in Aries: On Fire

posted in: Aries, First Quarter Moon | 0

We step into the First Quarter Moon held within last night’s Venus cazimi.

A glance at the chart shows why: Venus, barely a degree from the Sun, remains hidden several more days. She has received her illumination but is dazed, unsure.

I hope your cazimi was wonderful–filled with wonder. If you were challenged, perhaps the wonder was tinged with awe. If you were affirmed, perhaps the wonder shaded into ecstasy. Whatever Venus and the Sun brought to you, I hope you’re more alive today than you were yesterday.

The Moon, the fiery Aries Moon, squares both Sun and Venus, while trining Mars in Sagittarius. Could we add a little more fire to this mix?

This is the First Quarter challenge. Imagine the questions the Moon asks now:

So you had an intense epiphany. So what? What’s different? What comes next? What can we DO with all this?

This Moon is not sitting around. This Moon is passion in action, desire on the move. Setting sights on a goal, the Aries Moon ruled by a Sagittarian Mars is already on the road.

This is a wave we want to catch.

Notice Mars is within a degree of his square to Neptune. This perfects on Tuesday but we can feel it now.

If we look only at Mars and Neptune, we see patterns like action based in delusions. We can’t see the threat clearly so we lash out. Or we act by leaving too soon, breaking off ties. We feel lost.

If we include Venus, the Sun, and the Moon, we have something much richer.

The magical summons that initiates a quest. The pure vision that ignites passionate commitment. A spiritual call that changes the basis for how we act in the world.

Venus hears those calls too. Her journey to the Sun brought her low, cost more than she bargained for. Now she’s met the Sun. She’s exhausted, but already embers are rekindled in her soul. She rises. She has work to do.

What work calls to you now? What compels you to act?

Neither Venus, nor ourselves, can see clearly yet. And today, we feel the fire that will bring us home.
