Disseminating Moon in Cancer: Go Gently

The Disseminating phase opens as the Moon forms a sesquiquadrate to the Sun. With Mercury, Venus, and the South Node there too, we have an intense connection between a sensitive Cancerian Moon and all the depth of Scorpio.

This is the phase to share Full Moon illuminations. Right now, though, we probably don’t want to share at all. What we’ve seen and felt feels tender.

The Moon sits at the apex of a Thor’s Hammer, an edgy aspect pattern.

The Moon is also sesquiquadrate Saturn, who squares the Scorpio group. Saturn still wants to shift the emotional and psychological depth of Scorpio into clear-eyed logic.

Saturn pressures the Moon. A Moon in Cancer wants to be caring and supportive, but also needs to preserve inner balance. If it gets to be too much, the Moon will withdraw, retreating into their shell until the storm is over.

This Moon is significantly out of bounds.

We’ll feel what we feel, whether it’s appropriate, correct, acceptable or whatever.

Notice the Moon has just left Mars. The conjunction, less than 24 hours before the Disseminating Moon, brought together two out of bounds planets. (Mars remains out of bounds.)

This Moon–Mars squares Jupiter and Neptune. Rabbit holes and grand ideas could feel very compelling.

We may speak out before we’ve fully processed. We may try to process through talking, but our ability to choose our listeners and words carefully won’t be at its best.

So on the last day of the Full Moon phase, still in eclipse energy, we may say too much, or the wrong things, to the wrong people. Could get messy.

Then the Disseminating phase opens with the Moon under pressure. Let’s all plan to be chill.

If you overshare, be kind to yourself. Find quiet ways to process: movement, meditation, journaling, rest.

If you’re listening as someone else unloads, be kind to them. Listen but also set boundaries without judgement.

Friday and Saturday are good days to go gently. Stay calm. Take care of yourself. Be kind.
