Gibbous Moon in Leo: Strong

posted in: Gibbous Moon, Leo | 0

We’re IN the Gibbous Moon phase, last challenge before the Full Moon. We’re in it, and it feels like it.

At the end of Leo, we’ve achieved something––and need to hold on to it. Keep it growing, thriving, all the things we need and hope for it to do.

Leo is the fixed Fire sign. The one who’s there for the long haul, who knows a big flashy start needs to be sustained by ongoing effort.

This Leo Moon is quincunx the Sun in Aries. In cardinal Fire, we light the fuse. We blow on the tiny ember until it becomes a flame. Leo asks, how do we keep the flame alive?

This Leo Moon is trining the asteroids Chiron and Eris, and Venus, all at the end of Aries. Venus is strong here. She’s not letting go.

Eris stands up for the needs of the world. The ongoing, messy, painful ones. Chiron is personal healing. What work do we need to do, so we can stand strong?

The Sun pulls away from Saturn and Neptune. Maybe we’ll be able to see more clearly soon.

Saturn sextiles Pluto. Neptune moves into that sextile. Action without structure is not sustainable, no matter how pretty the picture looks.

Mercury moves to trine Jupiter still in his most benevolent, caring self. This is big dreams of caring, strength in community, and the long haul.

At the end of Leo, we see what we’ve accomplished and how much is left to do.

The title image is from a Voting Rights demonstration in 1963. That’s 60+ years ago. Yet here we are, still fighting for fair access and fair voting for everyone.

That’s the late Leo Gibbous Moon, telling us, you’re doing great. It’s all good. Keep it up.
