Balsamic Moon in Gemini: Many Worlds

We arrive at the end of this lunar cycle with many questions and many possibilities. This is the Balsamic phase, as the Moon loses light in the sky, reaching for the darkness of a New Moon.

This Balsamic Moon joins Venus in mid Gemini. In this decan, both Venus and the Moon try to balance dualities that aren’t easy to reconcile. Venus, clever and creative, makes this work, but the Moon struggles–she prefers to know where she stands and what is real.

Since the Moon and Venus square the Nodes of the Moon, the duality in question is Fate itself. What do we believe? How do we frame the past? Understand the future? How do we choose our way forward?

Mars, conjunct the South Node in Virgo, pushes to clear out what is no longer needed. Mars has detailed plans, targets, and reasons why it’s time to let go.

The Moon struggles here, preferring to hold on to memories. Venus can turn the past into art–a story, a poem, a painting, a video.

The North Node in Pisces contains multitudes. The Moon and Venus in Gemini will spin as many stories as we have time to listen. And why choose only one option?

Mercury, newly retrograde in Leo, may have something to say here. Sextile Venus and the Moon, Mercury invites us to explore our own plans, our own sense of our place, our importance.

During this retrograde period, we might want to ask whether our ideas of what should be are really what we actually want. Maybe it’s time to decenter our own vision and see what other possibilities are out there.

The Venus–Moon conjunction in Gemini is ready to envision Many Worlds, the quantum theory that each time a new reality emerges from the vast quantum Possible, the world we know splits, twins itself to sail off on two different courses.

Is this true? How could we possibly know? But at this time in history, with this Balsamic Moon, we can imagine many other worlds filled with amazing creative potentials waiting to become realities.

In the meantime, we might work with Mars to let go of what is wanting to leave our lives so we can welcome some of the amazing future possibilities waiting for us.
