Overnight, we reach the Last Quarter with the Sun at the end of Leo and the Moon at the end of Taurus.

At the ends of fixed signs, this Sun and Moon are determined to hang on to what they have, even as their awareness of risk and loss grows.
Leo and Taurus are strong signs for the Sun and Moon, which can make these final degrees feel even more poignant. Sun and Moon loved what they had, long to keep it, but begin to realize that may not be possible.
Mars rules the last face of Leo, which brings fierce determination, strong will, and a need to be aware of our limits.
Saturn rules the last face of Taurus, where despite our longing to keep what we have and love, we see that the Earth herself had limits.
Yet Austin Coppock notes that the Moon in this final face of Taurus has the capacity to banish fear, a way we can accept inevitable change. This may be the key gift of this Last Quarter Moon.
Eleven hours after we begin this phase, the Moon enters Gemini to conjunct Uranus and participate in the ongoing connections of change: She will trine Mars, trine Pluto, and sextile the Saturn–Neptune conjunction. The Moon also moves into a sextile with newly-direct Mercury.
At the beginning of Gemini, the Moon takes a light approach that prefers to overlook deep subjects and looming difficulties. Yet this is the gift: For a time, the world may feel less heavy.
This opens a window for curiosity. Here we are with the Moon in a ring-side seat with Uranus, the biggest change agent of them all, in company with the big change gang. So what’s going on? Are there good ideas here? Anything fun or interesting?
We may also find space to step away for a bit. Relax. Recalibrate. And then, recommit. This Moon is in mutual reception with Venus in mid Cancer, which Austin Coppock names the Walled Garden, a place of seclusion, protection, intimacy, and creativity.
Over the next few days, we can tap into curiosity about change, or pull away and rest. Which will you choose? Maybe a bit of both?
