Last Quarter Moon in Leo: Take Up Space

posted in: Last Quarter Moon, Leo, Moons | 2

Overnight tonight (Tuesday), we enter the Last Quarter. This is the make-good-on-promises phase. It’s time to do it (whatever it is).

A square from a Moon at the end of Leo to a Sun at the end of Scorpio highlights the “now or never” feel.

A journey through Scorpio begins with a desire for union, moves into the experience of union, and end with, well, endings. But with a difference.

At the end of Scorpio, we’re wiser. We know what worked, what didn’t, and what needs to change. We’ve been tempered by experience. This is where the Sun is.

In Leo, we want to shine. By the end, though, we’re doing our damnedest to hold on to what we’ve got in the face of pushback. The Moon has her own challenge here, which is letting go of difficult emotions that get in the way. Are we feeling less than? Left out? Defensive? It’s time to let go of all that to focus on what’s ahead.

We’ve moved through something. We’re coming out stronger, if we’re willing to claim our place.

The rest of the chart is very similar to the Full Moon chart, still.

Mercury and Jupiter are both officially retrograde, but in about the same place: planets go slow as they change direction.

Mercury and Mars are even closer. The energy of saying what we want, how we want, to whoever we want is very strong. Lots of support for speaking out. Sometimes this is how we protect ourselves or our world. Sometimes it creates a lot of heat and bad feelings.

Pluto holds on to degree-based trines and sextiles to Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn, but Pluto is out-of-sign, since Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn are all retrograde.

A strong sextile between Uranus and Neptune can lead to startling insight, but also create a lot of quickly shifting disinformation.

A strong trine from Jupiter to Saturn invites us to explore expansive ways of restructuring our understanding–while also making some lies so huge we can no longer ignore them.

The Sun–Moon square brings us back to our own life. Where are we, right now, in all of this? What have we learned in the last three weeks? What do we know now, we didn’t know before?

The Sun is collecting intel, as Scorpio does, from a trine to Jupiter, trine to Saturn and Neptune, and quincunx to Chiron and Eris.

The Moon’s only aspect, other than squaring the Sun, is a trine to Chiron and Eris, linking this Moon to our personal healing and the wounds of the world.

It’s time to stand up. If we stumble into emotional swamps, we find a new path. No more wandering into“I’m not good enough” or “it’ll never work.”

In this waning cycle, at the Last Quarter, it’s time to take up space. To know in our bones what we stand for and who we stand with. And go forward.

Such a travesty in DC. What we know now that we didn’t before? There is only one party controlling the government- the decadent billionaire class. Time for a new party?

The big changes, I think, will not unfold quickly. Of course each lunar cycle brings change, yet I think each of the Moon’s phases focus more on our personal lives.
