Tuesday morning, we enter the Last Quarter phase with a square between the Taurus Sun and a Moon in Aquarius. This challenge between fixed signs calls for focus.

Sun and Moon are both in the final minutes of the final degrees of their signs, the end of the third decans. This is a place of reckoning.
The Sun is steadfast, facing into the limits of Earth, the limits of the physical and the world of flesh and soil we live in. We might feel we’re reaching the end of something––a project, or perhaps even a way of being in the world.
If we took on the Capricorn Moon’s challenge to get busy and do something, that task might be complete––or we may feel it is impossible to finish, or ought to be set aside.
With the Sun at the end of Taurus, still close enough to be considered conjunct Uranus, we may feel, our sense of endings is enhanced. Change might feel both inevitable and unknown.
The Sun and Uranus still hold to a wide trine to the South Node, and sextile to the North. If might feel right to let go of what cannot be done. There are sure to be other tasks ahead. What are they?
Not a comfortable place to be, and Taurus loves comfort. Where do we turn?
The Moon at the end of Aquarius offers counsel that might seem stark: It’s time to strike out in a new direction, find new paths.
At the very end of Aquarius, this Moon is clear-sighted and unsentimental. How will we make these choices? the Moon asks.
Here is the Aquarius question: Where do we find meaning? What goals or values or principles to we hold to? What guides, perhaps drives, what we do? What keeps us going in tough times?
Yet it’s not all bleak. Once we accept the question, once we realize the essential nature of meaning in our lives, help appears.
The Moon is leaving, but still within, a trine to Jupiter, the philosopher. Jupiter in Gemini has many ideas to offer, many paths the might call our names. Only we can recognize which is ours.
Venus, who rules the Taurus Sun, trines Mars in Leo from her place in the middle of Aries. Here is Fire, the energy to nourish our hearts and strengthen our discernment.
Venus sits exactly between the Sun and Moon, forming a semisquare to each. Fire can move our earthbound feet, and provide the commitment to our new understanding of what gives us meaning.
The Moon also squares Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius. Yes, she says, we want change, bring us change. And make it meaningful change. Make it change we can commit to and work with.
The Sun will enter Gemini Tuesday afternoon to sextile Neptune at the beginning of Aries. Bright new dreams are on the horizon.
In these days before the Balsamic Moon, as the Sun shifts into bright Gemini, consider options, perspectives, and choices––what calls you? What is the core meaning that leads your choices?
