Today we move into the Gibbous phase, the last before the Full Moon in Capricorn.

The Moon in Sagittarius forms a sesquiquadrate (square and a half) to the Sun in Cancer: a challenge.
At this point in the waxing cycle, we’ve figured something out and taken steps toward making it happen. But with so much going on, do we know where we are?
The Gibbous challenge is about that. In Sagittarius, the Moon is a traveler and philosopher. At 0º Sag, with Scorpio’s depths behind, the Moon wants to go places and get somewhere.
This Moon is open minded and open hearted, ready to explore. Yet we’re in the same complicated territory we’ve been in for months. Change is in the air.
The Moon opposes the Uranus–Venus conjunction. Uranus clings to the end of Taurus, poised to enter Gemini in less than 12 hours. Venus, already there, holds the door open. These two point to changes in thought and communication. New ideas. New media. New tech. New moves.
There’s a trine to the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries, with Neptune stationing retrograde. Got ideas? Got plans? Let’s do it–although honestly these two feel stuck. There’s energy but little movement.
Pluto sextiles the Moon, and Saturn–Neptune, while trining Uranus–Venus. The watcher in the deep has his eye on everything, looking for fault lines and failures, drawing everyone to peer beneath the surface.
The Sun wishes to remain secluded in the walled garden in the middle of Cancer, resisting all invitations and enticements.
Jupiter is no longer combust, but still under the beams. He’s biding his time for now, waiting for his chance to shine. He’s looking to this Moon to explore, connect, and report in.
The upcoming Full Moon in Capricorn will look for careful plans, clear boundaries, and protection for those we care about.
In the face of big challenge, we can move to batten down the hatches and bar the gates. This is certainly what Capricorn and Cancer would counsel.
This Gibbous Moon is none of those things.
In Sagittarius, the Moon is plural. We are not just one thing. We have played many roles as members of many communities. We are multitudes.
Sagittarius dives into new experiences to learn from them. Connect with new people and new places. Explore, absorb, celebrate.
This Sagittarius Moon offers a side quest. Over the next days, widen your focus.
How diverse am I, myself? How diverse are my networks? How wide-ranging is my knowledge? Where can we connect with each other and all the world?
I am large, I contain multitudes. – Walt Whitman
