Gibbous Moon in Pisces: Visionary

Sunday’s Gibbous Moon brings a last challenge before the Full Moon.

In the Hero’s Journey, this is a threshold guardian who stops us in our tracks with one more, unexpected challenge.

This challenge is facing into the intensity of desire.

The Moon at the end of Pisces sails through the sky with Saturn and Neptune. Here at the end of the zodiac, these three intense travelers will do whatever it takes to reach their desire.

What are we seeking? Working on? Longing for? What would we give to achieve it? The end of Pisces is a place of sacrifice. At the end–in the end–what do we wish for?

Mars in late Scorpio trines the Moon, Saturn, and Neptune. He adds more depth, more power. Something must be done to face into this challenge.

The Sun has just entered the second decan of Scorpio, a place of intense connection. Here in this deep, secretive sign, we long to bond with someone. This partner can be romantic or erotic, and may also be collaborative, creative, or based in friendship.

Deep inside our psyches, who do we long for? What kind of partner in crime are we hoping to find?

Answering that question may uncover a need for healing. Venus in Libra opposes Chiron and Eris in Aries, while both are squared by Jupiter in Cancer. A mighty T-square, with strong positive energy from both benefics, ready to support whatever we need to heal.

Mercury, newly arrived in Sagittarius, can help us find what we need. They’re excited to dive deep and learn everything. This Mercury also connects us to the Big Change group, opposing Uranus in Gemini and sextiling Pluto in Aquarius.

Some Gibbous Moons feel irritating. We trip over that one more thing we need to do. The thing we forgot.

This Gibbous Moon will feel larger, more focused, more demanding. What is it that pulls at our attention? What can’t we ignore any longer?

Whatever is pulling focus, dive in there. Something is waiting to be discovered.
