The Full Moon in Cancer certainly grabbed focus, bringing in 2026 with literal and figurative explosions. While our individual charts did not respond as dramatically, mostly, there’s no doubt the Full Moon got our attention.

Four out-of-bounds planets, it seems, are more than just additive. They multiplied, bringing off-the-charts events to front pages.
The nights after Christmas are known, in many cultures, as a time of disruption. This period ends with Twelfth Night, the night of January 5, governed by the Lord of Misrule.
Today, January 6, we return to normal time and begin to sort things out. We leave the Full Moon phase to enter the Disseminating phase.
We’re invited to share what has been illuminated by the Full Moon. Yet today’s Moon isn’t ready. She’s watchful, processing what has happened, how to understand it, and how to proceed. She’s not ready to share.
The Moon at 01º Virgo is quiet, calm, humble, and reflective. She applies to conjunct the South Node at 10º Virgo. Here our focus is drawn to what is moving away, ready to dissolve or dissipate. What is complete.
Today is also the Venus cazimi, her exact conjunction with the Sun at 16º Capricorn. Venus in cardinal Earth is getting new plans, learning new skills, and surveying the terrain.
Mars is right there. He’s not precisely conjunct the Sun and Venus, but is less than a degree away, a partile conjunction. He is right there, in the room where it happens.
This cazimi and near-cazimi add to the “not yet” vibe of the Disseminating Moon.
Even Mercury participates. At 7º Capricorn, he’s also in the room but not available. He’s under the beams of the Sun, and, along with Venus and Mars, invisible in the sky.
Mercury trines the Moon and South Node, but messages are unclear. Transmission feels disrupted. We have to wait.
We’re offered support: Jupiter opposes the Sun, Venus, and Mars from late Cancer. This Jupiter remains strong and benevolent. His presence helps to mitigate harm and offers support for healing.
So, yes, it’s a Disseminating Moon, but still we’re asked to wait. There are limits to what can be known. We don’t have full access.
With this quiet Moon at the beginning of Virgo, we hold space for what will unfold.
