Disseminating Moon in Sagittarius: Scattershot

This Disseminating Moon has a lot of energy without being too organized. The Full Moon left some confusion in its wake.

This Moon has just entered Sagittarius. The first decan is all about speed. The Moon here is upbeat, always exploring, but easily distracted. Side quest, anyone?

The Sun remains in the second decan of Aries, powerful and dynamic. The Sun is exalted in this sign and rules this decan. The Sun-Jupiter square is now exact.

The Moon is sesquiquadrate the Sun, a square-and-a-half that creates tension. This is the aspect of the Disseminating phase.

In this chart, though, something more interesting is going on. The Moon is also sesquiquadrate Jupiter, which creates a difficult, volatile pattern known as Thor’s Hammer.

This Hammer has both luminaries in Fire signs, moving fast and not caring much what gets broken. Yet the third corner is a strong, nurturing Jupiter. Can Jupiter temper the flames? Or will he end up making the fire bigger?

Sometimes Jupiter makes things bigger so we notice them. If we’re feeling out of control, Jupiter may be inviting us to cool down.

This Moon is off kilter in other ways. She’s separating from an opposition to Uranus at the end of Taurus, now out-of-sign. Uranus is always a wild card.

She moves into trines with Neptune and Saturn in early Aries, creating more confusion and mixed messages. She’s separating from a trine with stealthy Mars in Pisces, now out-of-sign. She’s moving into a sextile with Pluto, linking all of this to deep change.

If your chart has a lot of Fire, or if the Moon, Sun, Neptune, or Saturn aspect important places in your chart, plan ahead for some really active days. Heated conversations are not a good idea. Instead, channel energy through exercise or high-energy activities that don’t involve confrontation.

We’ve all be feeling the Fire during this phase. Keep calm and carry on. Try to forgive others who might get overheated.
