Disseminating Moon in Cancer: Crisis

While the Full Moon invited us into transition, the Disseminating Moon puts us right back into the heart of 2020.

At Disseminating phase, we want to share our Full Moon experience. The late Cancer Moon opposite the Capricorn group will feel both the urge to reach out and connect, and the vulnerability and danger connection can bring.

The word “crisis” has Greek roots and a specific medical context. A crisis was a turning point in disease, the moment we know whether we’ll recover or not.

The Cancerian Moon highlights real vulnerabilities: Far too many face job losses, food insecurity, and homelessness right now. With no support from the top, ordinary people are suffering.

Whether we’re physically vulnerable or safe, this Moon will trigger emotional vulnerabilities.

Perhaps the Full Moon eclipse pointed to what we’ve lost. Perhaps we also caught glimpses of better times ahead. Either or both can leave us feeling tender and anxious as we realize we’re still in the middle of tough times.

Do we share or not? We may find ourselves cocooning, which is fine. Just because we’re invited to share doesn’t mean we have to. We can share privately in journals or creative work or simply by honoring our feelings.

If we listen to Brene Brown, though, we’ll share–finding the bravery to be awkwardly vulnerable with those able to listen well and hold our sharing. Her Sun and Moon in late Scorpio strongly trine this Disseminating Moon, urging us to embrace who we are and where we are and just bring it all.

Whatever you choose will be right for you. We all feel we’re in crisis now. We’re not wrong. This is tough.

We’re also close to a bunch of turning points that I hope and trust will offer avenues for recovery. So hang in there.
