Balsamic Moon in Sagittarius: Swift

posted in: Balsamic Moon, Sagittarius | 0

Here at the Balsamic Moon, we’re finishing up, letting go, and clearing the ground for the New Moon ahead.

At the beginning of Sagittarius, the Moon flies swiftly toward the goal she sees ahead. To be clear, Sagittarius doesn’t see the outcome––the future will unfold––Sag sees the path, the way forward.

Yet this swift Sag Moon looks odd in this chart, as if she were speeding against a cosmos in slow motion.

The Moon flies toward the Capricorn group, who’s feeling stuck.

Mercury, Mars, Sun, and Venus at the end of Capricorn are done building, wondering if their foundations will last as long as they hoped. They’re tired.

The Capricorn group trines Uranus retrograde at the end of Taurus, and sextiles Saturn and Neptune at the end of Pisces. Everyone at the end of signs, poised to make an important transition, but not. quite. yet.

Pluto waits to meet the Sun, Venus, Mars, and Mercury as soon as they cross into Aquarius. Pluto’s weight also makes this chart feels slow. Gravity is heavier here.

We may feel a sense of urgency but not know what to do. We might feel something important is coming; we want to get there in time; but can’t make headway. We need to be fast but feel held back.

Yet this speedy Sag Moon is in exactly the right place. She squares the Nodes of the Moon at the South Bending.

The South Bending, like the South Node, is a place of letting go, which is exactly what we do in the Balsamic phase.

The world is slow but we’re in motion. It might feel urgent. The key question becomes: What is holding me back? What am I carrying that makes me slow? Do I need it?

We’re stripping down to meet the future.
