Balsamic Moon in Pisces: Worth It

posted in: Balsamic Moon, Pisces | 0

Tonight we reach the Balsamic Moon. This last phase before the New Moon opens with a semisquare between the Sun in stable, reliable Taurus and the Moon in dreamy, unfocused Pisces.

It takes a lot to annoy Taurus, who is the soul of patience, but a Pisces Moon still trailing clouds of Neptune just might do it.

Make up your mind, already! I can hear Taurus saying it. It’s way past dinner. His feet are tired. And the Moon is still trying to choose.

Meanwhile, the Moon and Neptune form a T square with Mars in Gemini opposite Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius. More impatience! Mars wants to go, do anything, do EVERYTHING. Saturn wants to consider everything, deeply, consequentially. And the Moon and Neptune are not quite sure …

On the side of slow carefulness, Saturn turned retrograde today. Pluto is stationed at 23 Capricorn. These two are digging deep.

The Moon sextiles these two and the South Node, a she trines the North Node. With Neptune, the Balsamic Moon gazes into the deep well of the past while also peering into the cosmic expanse of the future. Wow!

The Sun in Taurus focuses on worth. Investment is a Taurean specialty–investing in land, in gold, in what is tangible and lasting, what can be touched and held and kept.

The Pisces Moon is more interested in intangibles.

This could be frustrating. It could lead to misunderstanding, arguments, divisiveness––in our internal dialogue or conversations with others.

Instead, try slow, reflective dialogue.

Acknowledge the speed and depth Mars and Jupiter want. Give them something to do.

Spend time with Saturn and Pluto. Look carefully at what is coming up from the depths.

Then listen to the alternating messages of Taurus and Pisces, Sun and Moon: What is worth keeping? What is worth letting go of? What are you investing in, as you do this?

Both Taurus and Pisces can consider the long term. They do this in different ways, employing different measures, but there is room for dialogue here. Understandings can be reached.

What will you want for the rest of this lifetime? What about forever?
