The Crescent Moon arrives before dawn EDT on Thursday, and this will be no quiet opening. This is a bold Leo Moon co-ruling with a queenly Leo Venus.

With two queens standing ready, we’d better set the stage.
Outer planets Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus maintain their trines-and-sextiles connection. Change is fast, unpredictable, and confusing, while also being very deep and consequential.
The Sun at the end of Gemini reminds us we’re still in a time of choices. If we don’t choose, the world shifts around us anyway. Standing still isn’t a good option.
This Sun sextiles Chiron and Eris, the asteroids connected to our personal healing and the great needs of the world. Take Chiron and Eris into account. What do we need to process, understand, and heal? How does each situation connect us to the world? How can we be of service?
Mercury moves to conjunct Jupiter as both square Chiron and Eris. Perception, processing, and communication (Mercury) and great good will (Jupiter) combine to aid healing and positive change. Mercury sextiles Mars in Taurus: we feel compassion for the world.
Venus opposes Pluto, the most dramatic aspect in this chart. This queenly Venus is far more than a figurehead. She wields the power to create as well as rule. Pluto, austere and a bit dry in Aquarius, wants to call this queen to account: Do this, not that. But this Venus will not be ruled by external structures. She leads from the heart.
The Moon is right there, separating from Venus and Pluto, still within orb. She, too, is a queen regnant. Sure of herself, her power, her sovereignty. She has gathered what she needs from Venus and Pluto, to communicate with Saturn, in trine to the Moon.
This Moon-Saturn trine brings up questions like: Where are we sovereign in our lives, right now? Some days, it feels like the answer is “nowhere,” but that’s seldom wholly true. Where can we learn? Where can we create? Where can we choose? Saturn helps hone in on where real change it possible.
