Crescent Moon in Scorpio: Underneath

Thursday, we enter the Crescent Moon phase. We’re assessing what this post-eclipse cycle might bring as the Scorpio Moon focuses our attention on layers that may not be obvious, but are enduring.

In the last few days, Mars slipped into Scorpio, his ancient nighttime home, and squared Pluto. This brings the ancient and modern rulers of Scorpio into intense, focused conversation.

Mars in Scorpio excels at tracing lines of power. Pluto is the deepest locus of power in our system. Mars has the breadth and stamina to bring messages back from the depths and translate them into goals, plans, and action.

At the moment of the exact Mars–Pluto square, the Moon was conjunct Mars. She will make sure we feel this seismic connection, wherever it falls in our charts.

Now in the second decan of Scorpio, the Crescent Moon longs for deep connection. These middle degrees of Scorpio are alchemical. Here we seek the kind of union that dissolves boundaries and reforges them. We want enduring bonds.

The Sun holds position in a kite pattern with Pluto, Uranus, and Saturn–Neptune. The winds of change are not calming.

Mars participates in the change energy: Along with the square to Pluto, Mars is the apex of a yod with Saturn–Neptune and Uranus at its base. Mars in Scorpio assesses the forces in play before acting.

The Moon recognizes the gravity of this moment while channeling hope. She forms another kite pattern as she trines the North Node in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer, with the Virgo South Node at the top of the kite.

If we partner with the right energies, the ones best suited to our goals. If we work expansively, with generosity and benevolence. If we work with the flow of fate, we can go far.
