First Quarter Moon in Scorpio Under the Radar

With the First Quarter Moon, we explore, learn, and build.

What’s your goal for this lunar cycle? Your key interest? That’s the focus.

What do you need to get there? That’s the plan.

This Moon is in Scorpio, though, so the emphasis shifts to what we cannot see. Or at least, what we can’t see easily. Where do you not want to look? What do you see out of the corner of your eye and then look away from?

It’s time to look again.

The Sun in early Leo shines bright. Mercury, just past their cazimi, basks in the glow. Illumination has happened, and we’re still integrating. We’re not ready to launch yet but it feels good right here.

The Moon redirects our gaze from bright Leo to soft Cancer, more about our needs than our goals.

This Moon trines Jupiter, an expansive boost to emotional insight. Focused attention on what we might be ignoring.

Ahhh, Venus has just entered Cancer. Our relationships, esthetic, and values refocus on warmth, home, and connection.

Yet, Cancer is also where we’re sensitive, where we hold on to old patterns that don’t serve us well like an worn-out sandals that slip sideways on the stairs.

Right now, Venus squares the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in early Aries. Saturn–Neptune, the crazy glasses of this current media-mediated, dangerous time in history. Saturn–Neptune, making fiction feel true and truth read like fiction.

The Venus square offers an emotional take on world events, asking, what would we like to be true? What do we prefer not to read about?

The Scorpio Moon has the keen insight we need to cut through all that.

This Moon offers the chance, over the next few days, to learn which monsters are fake, which are real, and which are getting too close for Cancerian comfort.
