It’s July! 2025 is half over. How are we doing with that? We’re entering the First Quarter phase with a bright half Moon in the sky. Time to figure out what we’re doing.
Astrologically, the plot is about to get complicated. More complicated.

Imagine this chart as a troupe of traveling players–musicians, singers, dancers, mimes.
Mercury in Leo is the star. They’ve got the mic. They’re ready to perform, except we’re not really sure who this is. And Mercury isn’t sure either. They will soon embark on a retrograde in Leo.
In the first decan of Leo, Mercury wears masks. The flexibility is great, but, what do we really think? What we want to say? Who are we, underneath the mask?
The Libra Moon sextiles Mercury, watching their every move. This Moon is a bit sad. In the middle of Libra, she wants to make everyone happy. But she’s getting mixed signals. This is confusing.
The Moon squares the Sun–Jupiter conjunction in Cancer. These two keep track of the vibe. Is everyone happy? Doing ok? They know the Moon feels a bit off, but they’re not sure what to do.
The Sun has stepped into the second decan of Cancer, where they’ll tend to the garden of their desires. But this place might feel confining to some of the players in this traveling company.
Jupiter, truth be told, is ready to step out from under the Sun’s beams to share his big Cancerian heart. He’s getting a bit impatient.
Mars at the beginning of Virgo is precise, but also has a critical eye. He’s great with details of costume, makeup, and props–and quick with a cutting remark.
Saturn and Neptune in early Aries are the owners of this company. Saturn is the taskmaster, pushing for precision, timeliness, and responsibility. Hell dock your pay if you’re 15 minutes late for call.
Neptune is the dreamer, certain this show is the one that will make it big. She slips an extra ten bucks in your pocket and says, don’t take Saturn too seriously.

We see another pair standing in the shadows: Venus conjunct Uranus at the end Taurus. These are the debt collectors. They watch the tips come in, ready to take their cut before the night’s over. They sextile Saturn and Neptune. They’ll get their due from the owners as well.
Venus rules Taurus, but this third decan is a place of endings and loss. She’s not her best self here. She wants more, but is afraid of what she might lose.
Uranus of course is the wild card. Now in the final minutes of Taurus, he’ll soon enter Gemini. Then it’ll be bright lights, big city for him.
Last, but never least, we find Pluto. He’s in a dark corner but somehow still makes his presence felt. He’s opposite Mercury, sextile Saturn and Neptune, and trine Uranus and Venus. He knows where the power is and how to leverage it. He’s got secrets tucked into his pockets.
So where do we fit in all of this? Check how this motley crew interacts with your birth chart. Whichever planets are close to your own are the players you’ll feel most connected to.
It’s tricky to figure out our best moves. We’re in a time of great change. Maybe the best question for this First Quarter is, who do you want to be? Which role is calling to you?
